A Day in the Life of a College Student

“College is the greatest time of your life”.

Bullshit.

I have watched my friends self-destruct.

I have seen my classmates fall into traps, all while trying to escape the pressure.

Yet I have remained relatively unscathed.

Alcohol, drugs, violence- it’s all commonplace now.

Greatest time of my life?

Why has college changed everything?

Why do students feel the need to escape?

Why do stress, anxiety, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts not compare to a good GPA?

Why won’t anybody listen?

Drink coffee.

Struggle through lectures.

Meeting.

Dinner.

Meeting.

Homework.

Midnight Snack.

Study.

Crawl into bed.

3am.

Repeat.
